Tortuguero is situated on the carribean side and sometimes referred as Costa rica`s
mini amazon. Wildlife here is rich and easy to access due to the river/canal system.
The most common way to see the national park is by motorized bananaboats, but I say
it´s not the most preferably way to travel. In order to see the wildlife without scaring it away
one should better travel in a ordinary canoe or cayak.
As I arrived in Tortuguero I meet up With Bill Sambola a very experienced natural guide. I say ' -What Bill don´t know about Tortuguero and it´s wildlife is not worth knowing'.
If you ever go to Tortuguero and need a guide here are Bill´s phone number: +506 869 6074
PS by the way the photo above is a montage.
